I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in Character Education in the Program for Leadership and Character at Wake Forest University. I received my PhD in Philosophy at Duke. My work falls primarily at the intersection of moral philosophy, including moral psychology, practical and applied ethics, and the philosophy of education. I have additional interests in social and political philosophy and feminist philosophy. My dissertation concerns the role of empathy in bridging divides between people who are sharply opposed on issues of moral, social, and political importance.
Before Duke, I completed my MA in Philosophy at Tufts, and before that I was a double major in Philosophy and Literary Studies at The New School.
